Free CSV downloads
The data behind the pages, as plain spreadsheet files. No account, no email, no charge.
The trades, lobbying filings, contract awards and rates on Spot the Money can be downloaded as CSV files, free and without signing up: 27 site-wide files, plus one file for each of 135 members of Congress and 1,221 tickers with trades on record. The files are rebuilt with the site each day and hold the same rows the pages show, each with a link to the original filing.
Congress
- congress-trades.csvEvery congressional trade on record. One row per trade from House and Senate periodic transaction reports.
- congress-members.csvMembers of Congress. One row per member on the roster, with seat, party and trade counts.
- congress-committee-assignments.csvCommittee assignments. One row per member per current committee or subcommittee seat.
Corporate insiders
- insider-trades-latest.csvInsider transactions, last 90 days. Form 4 rows disclosed in the last 90 days.
- insider-trades-2026-q4.csvInsider transactions, 2026 Q4. Form 4 rows disclosed in 2026 Q4.
- insider-trades-2026-q3.csvInsider transactions, 2026 Q3. Form 4 rows disclosed in 2026 Q3.

- insider-trades-2025-q4.csvInsider transactions, 2025 Q4. Form 4 rows disclosed in 2025 Q4.
- insider-trades-before-2025-q4.csvInsider transactions, before 2025 Q4. Form 4 rows disclosed in before 2025 Q4.
Insider transactions are cut by the quarter in which they were disclosed so that each file opens in a spreadsheet. The "last 90 days" file overlaps the newest quarters. Old quarters that hold only a few rows are combined into one "before" file. A row marked also_in_another_filing repeats a transaction another filer already reported; count it once.

One member or one ticker
Every member of Congress with trades on record and every ticker with trades has its own file. Use the "Download CSV" link above the trade table on that page, or build the address yourself:
https://spotthemoney.com/downloads/congress/member-page-name.csv— for example gilbert-ray-cisneros-jr.csv (1,308 rows)https://spotthemoney.com/downloads/stocks/ticker.csv— for example crwv.csv (5,616 rows)
The member page name is the last part of the member's page address. Corporate insiders do not have a file each; an insider's transactions are in the file of the ticker they report for, and in the quarterly insider files. A member's file holds every trade on record, including those beyond the newest 200 the page shows.

Format
- Comma-separated, UTF-8, one header line. The files open directly in Excel, Google Sheets and Numbers, and load in pandas or R without options.
- Dates are
YYYY-MM-DD. Dollar amounts and share counts are plain numbers with no symbols. Yes/no columns holdtrueorfalse. A blank cell means the report did not give that value. - Congressional reports give a dollar range, never an exact amount: use
amount_lowandamount_high. Thevaluecolumn is filled for Form 4 rows only. - A text cell that begins with
=,+,-or@is written with a leading apostrophe so a spreadsheet cannot run it as a formula. - The files are rebuilt whenever the site is, usually once a day. The addresses do not change, so a script can fetch the same file each day. Please fetch a file at most once a day.
Limits on reuse
You may use these files with a credit to Spot the Money (spotthemoney.com) and a link. The records themselves are public government documents, and we claim no rights in them. One limit comes with the data and applies to you as much as to us:
- Congressional trades. Federal law (5 U.S.C. § 13107(c)) makes it unlawful to obtain or use congressional financial disclosure reports for an unlawful purpose; for a commercial purpose, other than by news and communications media for dissemination to the general public; to determine or establish anyone's credit rating; or to solicit money for any political, charitable or other purpose. The files that hold congressional rows are
congress-trades.csv, the per-member files, and the per-ticker files.
The full terms are in Reusing the data; how to cite and reuse has citation examples. A filing can be amended after we read it, so check a row against its filing_url before relying on it. Nothing here is investment advice. Found an error? Tell us.
